Your mama is a huge geek; for many reasons, but I will tell you the number one reason your mama is an award-winning nerd. I not only love Lord of the Rings, when I think of God, I see the face of Gandalf the White. When I'm very sad, I think of the line spoken by Aragorn "there is always hope" and even though it's a line spoken by an actor in a movie, it means so much more to me than that.
I hope as you grow up you will fall in love with characters and books and stories as well and the tremendously ordinary and human themes they represent. I love you, sweetness.
